Te Ika A Maui

Here is a copy of the summary of another legend that we have read.  We wrote it together yesterday.
Have a read.
Did we cover all the parts from the plan?
Have we done a good job? Why or why not?

The Fish of Maui

This is a story about Maui and how he fished up a land.
He had to hide in the waka because his brothers didn't want him to go fishing.
After his brothers had paddled out Maui popped out from his hiding spot and made them paddle further out into the ocean.
He had to use his own blood for bait on his magic jawbone hook.
The hook caught a huge creature and Maui had to fight hard to pull it up.
It was so big that he had to walk to find his hook.
While he was gone his brothers cut up the fish and this is how the North Island of New Zealand was made.
